Client Policies & Courtesy Guidelines
At Tone & Butter Skin Studio, every appointment is designed to provide a safe, comfortable, personalized, and results-focused experience. Please review the following policies before booking. Scheduling an appointment indicates that you have read, understand, and agree to these policies.
Home Care Commitment
Corrective skincare and acne programs often require more than in-studio treatments. Consistent home care is an important part of achieving and maintaining your desired results.
For certain corrective treatments and acne programs, following a recommended home care routine may be required before continuing with advanced treatments, including certain exfoliation or peel services.
Your skincare routine may be adjusted throughout your treatment plan based on how your skin responds and your progress. Results cannot be guaranteed, and consistency with recommended home care plays an important role in your overall outcome.
Skin & Health Disclosure
For your safety, please provide accurate and complete information during your consultation and keep us informed of any changes that may affect your treatment.
Please disclose:
Known allergies or sensitivities
Current or recently used prescription or over-the-counter medications
Prescription-strength skincare products
Recent procedures or treatments
Active skin conditions, infections, or outbreaks
Products or treatments that may increase skin sensitivity
Any changes in your health or skincare routine that may affect your service
Certain treatments may need to be modified, postponed, or declined when a service is not appropriate for your current skin condition or circumstances.
Client Courtesy & Sensitivity Policy
We are committed to maintaining a clean, calm, and comfortable environment for every client. Because some clients may have allergies, asthma, migraines, or sensitivities to smoke and fragrances, we kindly ask that you be mindful of the following:
No Smoking Prior to Appointments: Please refrain from smoking immediately before your appointment. Residual smoke odors can be triggering for sensitive clients and may interfere with the relaxing environment we strive to maintain.
Fragrance-Free Consideration: Please avoid strong perfumes, colognes, heavily scented lotions, body oils, or other strongly fragranced products before your appointment.
Personal Hygiene: Please arrive clean and with good personal hygiene. Because treatments involve close contact, we ask that clients avoid strong body odors whenever possible.
These guidelines help us maintain a welcoming environment for everyone.
Illness, Contagious Conditions & Infectious Outbreaks
For the safety of our clients and staff, please do not attend your appointment if you are experiencing an illness, contagious condition, or infection that could be spread through close contact or affect your scheduled service.
This includes, but is not limited to, lice, ringworm, active cold sores, contagious rashes, skin infections, open or draining lesions, unexplained skin eruptions, or other conditions that may be contagious or transmissible.
If you have an active contagious condition or outbreak, your service may need to be postponed until the condition has cleared and is no longer contagious.
Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to reschedule due to illness or a contagious condition. Health and safety-related rescheduling will be handled with discretion and compassion.
Treatment Safety & Professional Judgment
Your safety comes first. Not every treatment is appropriate for every client or every skin condition.
Tone & Butter Skin Studio reserves the right to modify, postpone, or decline a service when we determine that proceeding may compromise your safety, skin integrity, or treatment results.
If your skin is not properly prepared for a particular treatment, including certain exfoliation or chemical peel services, we may recommend a more appropriate treatment or reschedule the service.
Arriving for Your Appointment
Please arrive on time and follow any pre-treatment instructions provided to you. If you have been instructed to discontinue or avoid a particular product before your appointment, please follow those instructions.
Please do not arrive with freshly sunburned, severely irritated, or otherwise compromised skin unless you have discussed the condition with us beforehand.
Children & Additional Guests
To maintain a calm and safe treatment environment, we ask that clients arrive alone whenever possible.
Children and additional guests may not be permitted in the treatment room due to limited space, sanitation requirements, and the nature of professional skincare treatments.
If you require an accommodation, please contact the studio before your appointment.
Respectful Environment
Tone & Butter Skin Studio is committed to providing a professional and respectful environment. Disrespectful, threatening, inappropriate, or abusive behavior toward the esthetician or other clients will not be tolerated.
We reserve the right to end a service or decline future appointments when necessary to maintain a safe and respectful environment.
Privacy & Client Information
Client information, consultation forms, treatment records, photographs, and other personal information are treated with care and kept confidential in accordance with applicable privacy requirements.
Before-and-after photographs will only be taken or used for marketing purposes with appropriate client consent.
Results & Treatment Expectations
Skincare is a process, and results vary from person to person. While treatments and home care are selected to support your individual skin goals, specific results cannot be guaranteed.
Corrective concerns such as acne, hyperpigmentation, texture, and post-inflammatory marks often require multiple treatments and consistent home care over time.
